The past week has been so busy with events and travel and visiting lots of family so this will be more of a photo journal than a written one. Excuse me while my brain is still trying to process everything and I’m exhausted. (I feel like I say I’m exhausted every week … I suppose because life is often exhausting, or is that just me??)

Monday
Recovering after Words on the Waves yesterday … though also not doing much rest and recovery because I’m off to Mister 5’s preschool this morning then flying to Brisbane tomorrow.
The preschool visit was so much fun! Mister 5 was very excited to have me there, and he got to sit up front and be my ‘helper’.
Bonus pic of Nugwagon helping me (aka doing most of the work) with all the cutting to prep for the preschool event!
Packing for the trip!
Tuesday
Car, train, another train, plane, car.
Stayed on Tamborine Mountain at a place called Serenity 88 – the kids loved it, especially the owner’s gorgeous dog Roo (or Ru?) and the fact that we were right next door to the cafe.

Wednesday

Morning walk to Curtis Falls.
Beaudesert – visit to the sleeping place where Pop has been laid to rest. Saw the resting place of lots of other relatives there too, plus a special monument for us Mununjali people. Spent time with Uncle Derek and visited other fam too and our hearts feel fuller.
Back to Tamborine Mountain and to a sunset lookout where the kids went crazy and we were all freezing cold!
Wrap up
Visited more aunties and our other pop and did an event at Where the Wild Things Are children’s bookstore!
It’s been an emotional trip for me, but so incredible too. So many family members I’ve got so much love for, and I cannot wait to head back up north again soon.

Your turn
Tell me about your week! Did you fit in any creativity? I felt like my week was full with so many things but not a whole lot of pen or pencil to paper, but these adventures are what fuel it all and worth more than feeling productive <3
I acknowledge the Darkinjung people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I am writing from today. I walk, talk, write, and create with respect on this land, and I acknowledge the enduring connection the Darkinjung people have with this Country; I thank them for their care of this Country, and I pay respects to the Elders past and present, and extend that respect to any Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people here reading or listening.
Yeah, it was (With lots of "I don't wanna do these exercises anymore😩", and "I'm going forward at a great pace, let me go a bit further and see what happens" moment in between). Good, check out my Note and tell me what you think of them.
With a week later than usual, i was finally able to finish some of the art pieces, and share them in a note on Substack. I also started doing my missing German practice materials (Because my German class went forward fast, i wasn't able to completely do those practices. Since last week, i've planned to do this challenge, and so far my progress has been good, with room for getting better).
